It is always extra special when I get to photograph fellow photographers and they trust me to be in front of my camera. Recently I photographed Terry Li, a wedding photographer based in London with a passion for soft and romantic fine art photography. We walked around Kensington while chatting about all things photography and captured some relaxed and informal branding images.

I am really fascinated to find out how fellow photographers find their way to the profession and Terry kindly told me her story:
‘Photography has been my hobby for over 10 years. I was taking a lot of pictures during my university years, being the photo editor for various student newspapers and also running the photo society as vice president etc., and I always think my degree in Psychology suffered a bit because of that. Anyhow, I kept moving on to a MA in occupational psychology and was hoping to become an Occupational Psychologist at that time. However, after graduation, I was having a hard time finding a job in this field and I decided to work for a recruitment agency. I worked there for 2 years, travelling around Asia for business, however deep down I knew this wasn’t the career for me. At this point, I decided to ask my wedding photographer friend to let me assist her and I totally fell in love with wedding photography. The rest is history and I have not looked back since! It just feels so right! The excitement and satisfaction I get from shooting and editing photos are almost like an addiction, I can stare at images I like for so long and many times over.’
