I have been dreaming about a lavender field inspirational shoot for a while and was so excited when we managed to put together a small styled shoot in the gorgeous Hitchin Lavender fields. The lavender field is in the heart of Ickleford, Hitchin overlooking Herefordshire fields and valleys. It is a place where you can pick your own lavender and wonder around the heavenly scented lavender and stunning sunflowers. Choosing lilac as the main colour, Katie from Bride and Beau, our fabulous stylist used different shades to create depth. The lovely, bespoke wedding stationary was created by the talented Claire Gould of By Moon and Tide. The romantic dresses were designed by Lara Ashley of Audry Ashley Couture and Lara even bought her daughter, Amelie for a few sweet bridesmaid shots. Hair and makeup was by Sophie Cooke from The Bridal Stylist, who created two romantic but different looks for Grace, our model. The wedding bouquet was the creation of Nicola Eve of Flowers by Eve with luxury hand dyed silk from Pompom Blossom. We aimed to capture different moods throughout the afternoon; initially the afternoon light helped us to create strong, vibrant images, and later the golden hour sunset light helped us to create much softer, warmer, light-filled ones… and I absolutely love them all!
If you are looking for a photographer to capture your lavender field wedding or you’d like a romantic lavender field engagement shoot please head over to my contact page and tell me all about your love story.
A huge thank you to the fabulous creative team!
