I am really excited to share with you this beautiful destination wedding in Budapest. Livia and Adam are a sweet couple from London who fell in love after their first date in a coffee shop in Wimbledon. A few years ago they spend a Sunday afternoon walking in the park and chatting in the coffee shop until the coffee shop closed. They found a local pub where they could spend an extra few hours chatting and getting to know each other. They both felt that this was the beginning of something special. After Adam proposed, they decided to get married in Budapest, close to their families. The wedding ceremony was held in a vineyard close to Budapest and they wanted to have their wedding portraits taken by the stunning Fisherman’s Bastion. The Fisherman’s Bastion was a perfect location for these images with its romantic, fairy-tale towers and spires and its stunning panoramic views to River Danube and the city. We arrived at sunrise to have the place for ourselves, and Livia and Adam was such a naturally affectionate and romantic couple that it was a real pleasure to photograph them.

Budapest has been Europe’s best-kept secret for decades and with its beautiful historic settings and buildings is becoming an increasingly popular destination wedding location. As a wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of photographing weddings and elopements in sunny Tuscany and beautiful Vienna, however, photographing weddings in my old hometown Budapest is always an extra special experience for me.
