– Frequently Asked Questions – Weddings –

How long have you been a wedding photographer?

I’ve been a professional photographer for 5 years and have been photographing weddings for 4 years. I've had the pleasure of photographing a wide variety of weddings such as intimate church weddings, a wedding in a two hundred years old sailing boat, luxury hotels, in a private Mayfair club and even in a Royal Castle.

Can we see some of your recent weddings?

Sure! Check out my wedding portfolio page and blog for highlights of recent weddings.

What is your approach to photographing my wedding?

My approach to wedding photography is a mixture of documentary and editorial style. For most part of your wedding day I shoot in a subtle, unobtrusive and journalistic manner. I capture the atmosphere and real emotion, together with the little details and special touches that define your style. For the bridal, groom and couple portraits I use some gentle direction to make sure you look your absolute best while still looking natural. My aim is to create beautiful, intimate and emotive imagery that you can treasure forever.

Do we get to meet you before booking or before the wedding?

Yes, both if you like. I am always happy to meet with potential clients before they book. The same goes for your pre-wedding planning meetings.

I hate having my picture taken. How do you deal with this?

Seriously, most of my clients tell me they don’t feel comfortable in front of the camera. That’s fine and even normal. Even I feel the same way when being on the other side of the camera. It is my job to get you comfortable and it is yours to relax and enjoy it. As for the rest of the day, you will be swept along by your wedding day and you won’t even notice that I’m there.

How far will you travel?

Anywhere. I am based in Wimbledon, London but I cover weddings all over the UK and even further. I love destination weddings and will travel anywhere in the world.

Are your travel costs included?

My travel costs are included within Greater London. Further afield may require additional travel and accommodation costs but this will be quoted for you to agree.

Do we need to provide you with a meal?

If you require your photography to continue after your sit down meal, yes please! I provide my own drinks and snacks throughout the rest of the day.

What happens if we cancel our wedding?

In most cases your booking fee will be non-refundable, unless I am able to rebook the date.  In some cases, if it’s close to the date of the wedding, the balance may also be due.

What happens if you are ill on the day?

No wedding photographer can give a 100% guarantee against illness or any unforeseen exceptional circumstances, however I take my obligations to you very seriously and to date I have never had to cancel a wedding. If I am unable to attend for any reason I will do everything to find you a replacement photographer – I have a network of photographers who I can contact in these situations – and if I am unable to do so you would of course receive a full refund.

How long will you stay on the wedding day?

How ever long you want me. My pricing is flexible to allow for everything from short coverage to coverage over the whole day or even several days.

How many photographs will we get?

My average for 8 hours’ coverage is upwards of 300.  This really depends on the format of the day and the length of coverage.

How soon after the wedding can we see them?

I get just as excited about your pictures as you do and I always post a preview image on my Facebook page, in the days following the wedding. The full set is ready within 4 weeks after the wedding. If you need to send out thank you cards before you receive your full set of pictures, I’m always happy to send over a high resolution version of your preview image. Once your images are all ready you will receive an email with a link to download your gallery.

Can we share the gallery with friends and family?

Yes of course. Your gallery will be available from the ‘client’ area of my website. You will get a password to access the gallery and another to download the images. The images can be downloaded in high resolution (6000 px wide) as well as web size versions (1024 px wide). The high resolution files can be used to print photos up to poster size canvases and are more than sufficient for web use. The web sized images are much smaller and therefore are faster to download and upload. They are ideal for sharing on Social Media or for quick viewing. You will be able to send the link with the passwords to your friends and family as you wish.

Do you offer prints and other products?

Yes, my client gallery is linked to my favourite professional printing lab and you will be able to directly purchase prints, canvas, metal and mounted prints. It is a very user friendly site and the printing lab produces very high quality, beautiful products which I am proud to put my name on. Other products like print boxes, acrylic frames, thank you cards and keepsake folios are also available, so please let me know if you would like me to source something special for you.

Can you make a photo album from the images?

Yes, I am very happy to partner with Yorkshire-based company Folio Albums to offer beautiful fine art photo albums. Each album is handcrafted with the highest quality materials and care. Folio albums are luxurious and wonderful products you will fall in love with at the first sight, just like I did. Please click (here) to read more about Folio albums.

That all sounds great, how do we book?

Before I book you in I like to have a chat to make sure that we are a good fit. Once we’ve had a chat, and assuming you’ve had a good look through my site, I’ll send you a booking confirmation email, along with a wedding contract and invoice for your booking fee.  Once I receive the fee and a signed contract, I am all yours!
